Submit a Crime Tip

The Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office always encourages input and involvement from the citizens we serve. Citizens like you are the best source of information of what is going on in your neighborhood and community. By passing on a crime tip or information of criminal activity to the Sheriff’s Office, citizens can assist by being the eyes and ears for law enforcement. We can assure you that it will be forwarded on to the investigating officer, or to the proper investigative agency. With your involvement and the involvement of all citizens, we can keep Van Wert County a good place to live and raise our families.

If you have information on an unsolved crime, or have information on any criminal activity you may submit the tip by following the directions below.

If you choose to submit any contact information this allows the investigator, if needed, to ask follow up questions on the information provided. This follow up sometimes helps investigators to be able to respond more quickly to the information provided.
