houseThe Sheriff's Office is issued orders of sales from the Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. These sales are advertised in the Times Bulletin Newspaper and are also updated on this website. All sales are at the Van Wert County Court House, in the basement. Prior to the sale, most properties are appraised from the outside only.

It’s important to realize we are selling the house per court orders and we do not have keys, nor can we give you any rights to tour the house before a potential buy.

All third party purchases shall make down payments as follows:

*2329.211 In every action of Judicial Sale or Execution of residential property if the Judgment Creditor is the purchaser they shall not be required to make a deposit on the sale.

Down Payment shall be made with a personal check or cash AT THE TIME OF SALE. If down payment is not given at time of sale, the property will be resold on the spot.
